Campfires, Bible lessons, crafts, nature hikes, recreation and swimming are just the beginning of an activity-filled week for campers who are completing the 5th to 7th grades. Campers will enjoy canoeing and archery. All camp activities are designed to meet the needs of tweens. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and reconnect with those met before. Registration will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, and camp ends on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. 410 479 2861

When: Nov. 13-15 Where: Focus Point Base Camp in Alba, TX Who: Grades 7th – 12th Students and parents, we are excited to announce that we have set a date for the fall youth retreat and service project. We’re looking forward to a packed weekend of bible study, worship, fellowship, service and fun. There is a cost of $45 per person, student and volunteers, and your contribution covers the cost of the 2 night stay and 4 meals. More information will be communicated in the next week. Get away from it all and spend some time together out at camp making memories that will last a lifetime. Go boating, swimming, make some great crafts and explore camp together. There will even be time for smores and singing around the campfire before your time together at camp is done. This camp session is designed as a mom and girl program. Home School Comes Alive with Shakespeare - Location: Center for The Creative Arts
For the Shakespeare buff or novice this is a fun yet educational program as we make history come alive through performance of a Shakespeare classic. This year we are adding a new dimension in that we will take one of his classic tragedy plays and add a humorous twist. While the play will keep with the essence of the original storyline and characters, students will find this play highly entertaining to perform. This truly unique course is especially designed for the home-¬schooled that incorporates history, literature, and performance. History comes alive as students create and act out their interpretation of imaginary and real characters during Shakespeares time. Students will also learn performance skills as they practice techniques for stage acting along with the wonderful experience of performing an adaptation of one of Shakespeares classic plays. Plays under consideration are Hamlet and Romeo & Juliet with a twist. A fully staged performance will be presented for family and friends at the conclusion of this course. This weeks theme is Jurassic Journey. Dinosaurs come back to life! Journey through time back 65 million years, when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Fossils, volcanoes and dinos all help campers explore the Jurassic world. Dinosaur week, engages campers through interesting and motivating activities. Campers will practice many social skills planned around their needs and skills to promote friendship building, cooperation, teamwork, and interaction skills. Campers will enjoy fun activities centered on social interaction, cooperative play, conversation skills, turn taking, and many more skills appropriate for their age and ability level.
