Disc golf, also known as Folf, is a flying disc game, as well as a precision and accuracy sport, in which individual players throw a flying disc at a target, The object of the game is to traverse a course from beginning to end in the fewest number of throws of the disc.The game is played in about 40 countries around the world. Come learn the basic rules of disc golf such as: Teeing off Establishing position Marking the lie Throwing from a stance Holing out Out of bounds Discs used in play Order of play Courtesy The week will end with a trip to the disc course in Hudson. The sun is shining, the buds are blooming, and NY parks need to be cleaned! Come to the LAST teen event for this school year for NY Cares Spring Day. We'll meet at 8AM in Manhattan and then travel to a park to help get them ready for spring with thousands of other people around the City. Last year we planted a garden on top of the Staten Island Ferry Building. Did I mention that you get a free t-shirt and this is your LAST chance to recieve community service with us for the school year?. Exact location to come, but let us know if you want to spend the night in Manhattan. This event is for ages 14+
Kid's Black Friday drop off camp - Mechanicsburg, PA

[] KidSport Afternoon: Tennis and Golf Each week features a different sport teaching basic fundamentals skills, rules, team building and sportsmanship and open swimming time. Director: Kerry Winkelseth, UM School of Kinesiology. Campers bring snacks and water. Afternoons, Monday-Friday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curbside Drop-off. Staff will pick-up your camper from your car at 1:00 PM and bring your camper to your car at 4:00 PM. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. The activities are age appropriate and developed by experts in childrens physical education. KidSport is staffed by certified teachers as well as physical education and education majors focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids! Incoming 5th and 6th graders will learn the basic usage and safety of HAND TOOLS including a coping saw, file, sanding block, and cordless drill. Some small machines may be used such as the scroll saw, spindle sander, Dremel engraver, and drill press. All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a beginner list. Other projects will be available if time permits. Projects choices include a can lamp, small cutting board, name block, or tombstone clock. 8475043400 x2520
