2016 BACDS Family Dance Camp - Sonora, CA
Join us for six days full of dancing, music, crafts, swimming, games, storytelling, and too much fun…at Foothill Horizons Outdoor School near Sonora, CA. For those who haven’t been before, Family Week often takes some explaining. It’s not a “kids’ camp” or a “sleepaway camp”: it’s for the entire family. We share traditional camp accommodations: several families per bunkhouse, and everyone eats community style. During the morning, kids take classes in community dance, English team dance, and art, while parents are free to come dance, play music, sing, or simply relax. After lunch, families come back together, for swimming, jamming, playing games, and a series of great classes for all. During the week of camp, a community like no other grows, culminating in a demo day when everyone shows each other what we’ve been doing. Every evening, we come together to dance. Teens (13 and up) are invited to join us. We will be seriving in the storehouse with World Vision in the Bronx. We have done cool stuff with them before and I'm looking forward to serving with them again. We will have a short devotion and grab lunch as well.

Babysitters in Training Camp @ Miller Creek School - Miller Creek School
Marinwoods camp for middle school students mixes the skills taught in babysitter training with the fun of camp! Campers will learn basic child care, the business of babysitting, become certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid, and receive an American Red Cross Babysitter Training Certificate. They will also practice cooking skills, learn kid-friendly games, go swimming and have the opportunity to work with our youngest camps. This week will leave campers with the confidence and knowledge to start taking care of little ones! Camp fee includes babysitter handbook & certificate and First Aid/CPR certification.
