Is summer about playing outside, BBQ's and the pool. I challenge you to make it about an encounter. An Encounter is not an accident, it is an intentional meeting. At this years Summer Camp we invite everyone to come with the purpose of encountering Jesus Christ! Leaving transformed, Sanctified and Holy Spirit filled. Hands On! American Sign Language - S1 - Plymouth Community Arts Council
This fun afternoon mini-camp will introduce students to basic ASL through interactive art projects games, and songs. Campers will learn the alphabet, songs, greetings, names, numbers, animals with instructor and CMU education major Madeline Klozik. We will do a short Performance the last day of camp. 734-416-4278

In this session, SHEbot to the Rescue: Saving the World with Robots! , participants will learn how getting involved in building, programming and competing with LEGO NXT robots can lead to careers that help the world become safer, easier, and more. While having fun participant are engaged in teamwork, as well as computer programming, problem solving using math, robot engineering, design concepts, and critical thinking. My hope is to demonstrate to girls that whether they are really into the "techie" side of careers on not, STEM has a pathway to their dreams to make the world a better place. 8322080445.0

Marlena Vendemia - Bio Marlena Vendemia worked in the corporate fitness setting before earning her M.S. in Exercise Physiology from The Pennsylvania State University. She currently holds a position as a Penn State fitness instructor working with pregnant women as part of the Healthy Moms Research Study. Most recently, Marlena earned her 200-hour registered yoga teacher certification. She found her yoga practice as a stay at home mother to her two small children. Marlena was drawn to pursue this certification due to the benefits she found through her own yoga practice. Her yoga practice has allowed her to find space, connection and possibility through the physical experience, things she hopes to help other students find as well. Her goal is to bring classes filled with truth, authenticity, love and fun to the State College community. In addition to teaching yoga at The PYP Studio, State College, Marlena also serves on the school board for Our Lady of Victory Preschool and on the advisory board for Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, University Park Campus. Panther Play - Multi-Sports Camp - Seattle Preparatory School
This course will consist of a wide variety of games. Campers will enjoy competing against both themselves and one another. They will play everything from kickball to lawn bowling, ultimate Frisbee to a milk-carton derby and we will even try our hand at an American Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course. Instructor Matt Butler is a Prep teacher with years of experience coaching both boys basketball and girls volleyball. He brings his passion for game play and outdoor activities to the fun-filled camp. Each day, participants will get involved in 2-3 different games. The goal of this program is to provide additional support for students who could benefit from reinforcement in reading skills over the summer.
