This class does not use games to engage kids in engineering/science concepts. Students learn thinking and reasoning skills needed for success. Engineering Fun engages children to apply what they know about science and math through hands on activities are based on real-world technologies and problems, they help children see how disciplines like math and science are relevant to their life. Rookie Camp is a four-day, three-night mini-session designed for first time campers as an introduction to the camp and preparation for a full length Camp Jack Hazard session. Campers will try all of the activities available to Resident Campers, including: games, campfires, camp programs and an on-site overnight where theyll have the opportunity to sleep under the stars without leaving CJH grounds. A low camper to staff ratio ensures that each camper receives the personal attention they deserve to create a fun and memorable first camp experience. (209) 965-7254

NMSU Golf Course will once again be hosting Junior Golf Camps throughout the summer. Instructional Programming will be AGE and ABILITY specific. Junior Golfers of all abilities are encouraged to sign up for our camps. NMSU GC summer camps are a great way to introduce your child to the game and or help them elevate their game to the next level for those aspiring to play on a high school or college golf. Instruction will be lead by Jason White, PGA Head Golf Professional with the assistance of our Junior Golf Leader Tyler Aynes and NMSU PGA Golf Management Students. Maximum Student to Instructor ratio will be 7:1. The Camp will meet at the NMSU Driving Range if you need directions feel free to contact the NMSU ProShop 575-646-3219. We will meet Monday-Thursday from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM. Please have your child or children ready to go at 8:30 AM and be ready to pick them up at 10:30 AM. We will have water available for the kids to drink but it is recommended that your child brings a water bottle. Great Outdoors June 27th-July 1st 9am – 4pm (Ages 5 – 11) Monday – Friday Its back to nature in this camp and we mean literally! If it has to do with nature and the great outdoors we are all over it! These days kids seem to be losing touch with nature, so in this camp we are going to bring them back to the wild side. Kids will leave civilization behind as we head out into the great unknown to learn all about nature and surviving the outdoors. Campers will get the ins and outs of navigating trails, compass use, telling time by the sun, identify animal tracks, interact daily with animals, make fossils, build a drift shelter, survival skills, make Native American crafts, outdoor cooking (more than just smores) and so much more. By the end of camp you might not get your kid to come back into the house! Pint sized survivalist fun is on order for this camp on the Wild Side!
