Southwest Basketball, conduct basketall camps, leagues, tournaments and basketball personl training for childern ages 6 to 18 male and female. Our camps normally last a week,(Monday through Friday). A day at the camp usually last for 3 hours. We teach all the basic fundamentals of basketball. The last hour of the camp is reserved for games and general fitiness. YOUTH LEAGUES The players get 10 games. There is a tournament at the end of the season. The players practice once a week and play once a week, an hour for practice and the games usually last about an hour. Youth Softball & Baseball Fundamentals Camp by Josh Newman - South Web
Instructor : Josh Newman currently the Assistant Baseball Coach for Marshall University and formerly with the Colorado Rockies and the KC Royals. This camp is open to all boys and girls, ages 7-12 in all school districts. Josh will be covering the fundamentals of the game for softball and baseball. Advance Registration and payment must be received no later than June 6th to guarantee a spot at camp and a tshirt. *Early Registration is $35 per athlete and must be received by June 1st and includes lunch and a tshirt. *after June 1st Group registration of 10 or more players for $45 per player and $40 for siblings. Each group of 10 will receive the 11th player free. We request that your 11th player be need based. This will be a fundamental camp with position specific drills as well. Athletes will have an opportunity to learn one position or multiple positions. We will teach basic tackling, blocking and ball handling techniques at the start of the clinic. Remember college and pro atheltes practice fundamentals every day! We will also teach some basic speed and agility drills. All form tackling will be done on practice dummies. There is no live tackling of other players and no equipment is needed. Our staff will consist of college coaches and current or former college players. Do not be fooled the staff is the best in the youth coaching business! Opti Green Fleet (Full Season PM) - NESS
Prerequisite: Opti LTS Step 3, Step 2 per instructor recomendation Students will be challenged to perfect their sailing techniques, learn to use hiking straps and tiller extensions, and expand their knowledge of wind, weather and upwind sailing. Students will be introduced to basic racing techniques and will be encouraged to participate in local Green Fleet regattas, which are designed for new racers. All students will be under the supervision of our instructors and coaches in class and at specific local regattas. Be on the look out for your ECSA regatta booklet which has all the regatta information in it that will be handed out during the first week of programs. Typically your child will participate in 6-8 regattas over the 8 week summer. Regatta fees are not included and typically range from $25-$35 per event. 860-535-9362
