On the weekend of October 14-16 it's officially ADULT SWIM at the Cathedral Domain. Camp Indian Summer is an opportunity for grown-up kids of all ages to leave their worries and responsibilties at the foot of the mountain and spend a few days being a kid again. Explore the streams, caves and forest trails on the 800 acre Cathedral Domain property located in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Spartan Quest-All Summer (9-3) - 1st-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Leddy Summertime fun begins at Spartan Quest, (formerly known as Sports Camp). This class will run for all 11 weeks of summer giving your camper a consistent, exciting summer day camp experience. We will spend the mornings doing fun things on campus like; playing games, flying kites, dodge ball, hide-n-seek, flag football, basketball, video games, etc…. We also will build our own fun when we build things like; bow and arrows from PVC pipe, marshmallow shooters, mini-golf-courses, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, and anything else we can think of! In the afternoon we continue our fun off campus at places like; Tanganyika, ice skating, roller skating, Lazerquest, Watson Park, mini-golf, All-Star Adventures, Water Center, Bug Lady and many more too numerous to mention. New this summer we will be incorporating STEAM activities to inspire your childs creative mind. This class is designed for students entering 2nd to 8th grades who are looking for unlimited fun and adventure. Students will experience the process of creating a play from a simple idea to the performance on stage. They will get to pitch their ideas, help form and shape the storyline, write dialogue, create characters and perform for an audience. This unique class is ideal for any student interested in all the aspects of theatre. INSTRUCTOR JOHN WALDRON received his BFA in theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. As an actor, director, and instructor, he has been working in the region for over 20 years. He has directed shows at Aldersgate and MVCCT. John can be seen in the motion picture Talk To Me starring Don Cheadle and was featured on Investigative Discovery show Who The Bleep!.
