Dates: February 17-19, 2017 (Friday-Sunday) Times: Camp starts 6 PM on Friday, ends at 9 AM on Sunday Ages: 4-H Age 13-19 (Age of youth on Oct. 1, 2016) and chaperones Registration Deadline: Friday, January 27, 2017 – complete forms and return to Extension Office Cost: $40 for Ravalli County Youth, $75.00 (Out of County), write checks to Ravalli County 4-H. Requirements: All counties must provide chaperones. Youth and chaperones must stay at the camp until checked out. Watkins Mill Nature Center - EcoAdventures
Wednesday, July 20th 9-4pm, $80 (ages 6-11) *limited to 13 due to van space Watkins Mill Nature Camp: We have an exciting day lined up for campers at the Watkins Regional Park in Upper Marlboro. Campers will visit the Watkins Nature Center for an hour interpretive program on birds of prey. Live animals on display include insects, amphibians, reptiles and birds of prey. The nature center also features indoor and outdoor ponds, a songbird feeding area, a butterfly/hummingbird garden, composting area, an outdoor nest box exhibit, and a squirrel gym that showcases the parks squirrel population. Campers will pack a picnic lunch and have time play on the storybook themed playground. After lunch, we will visit the Old Maryland Farm, an agricultural educational farm open to the public. Its agricultural exhibits, livestock, and display gardens provide a farming experience to visitors. Girls entering Grade 4 in Fall 2016 - Huddart Park
Campers entering grade 4 are grouped in units with girls of their own age/grade and are supervised by trained staff members and program aides. Campers participate in a wide variety of activities including earning badges, hiking, outdoor cooking, learning outdoor skills, crafts, games, singing and more. For rising 6th-8th grade girls Advanced camp is for the serious-minded player who wants to advance to the high school level. This camp will emphasize positional play. Players will work at either the guard or post position. Emphasis for guard will be feeding the post, offensive moves and setting screens.
