Learn the basics of pitching, catching, throwing, and batting as well as big-league skills in crazy ways! Campers will need close-toed shoes and a personal mitt if you own it! We provide bats, baseballs, and a variety of mitts if your camper needs. Cleats are not necessary, but permitted outside if desired. Cleats are not allowed inside, so be sure to have tennis shoes as well. 831-465-3386

This Boy Scout Ranch Camp was established in 1983. My 14 year old son would not miss signing up for this summer camp. Nestled in over 200 miles of rugged country it is the perfect place to camp and explore nature. Our son liked the diverse topography of the land. Week 8: Day Camp Assistant Training (Leadership Development) - Camp Tanadoona
Day Camp Assistant (DCA) Training is the first step in Tanadoonas leadership development program. DCAs spend the first half of the week engaging in teambuilding workshops and interactive leadership training with lead camp staff. Training includes first aid, behavior management, specialty programming and basic counselor skills. DCAs immediately apply their training when they are partnered with Tanadoona Counselors to assist with Day Camp groups during the second half of the week. Staying overnight on Thursday to help with the Thursday Overnight campers provides additional experiential learning. We recommend a minimum of two years of DCA before progressing to CIT. 612-235-7284
The Chute Shooting Camp (4th-8th) - Onalaska (city of)
The Chute Basketball Shooting Camps are designed to challenge the advanced player to move their offensive game to the next level, while at the same time, teaching all the proper fundamentals of shooting to the younger athlete. Shooting is ?muscle memory?.... Often times players believe they are out practicing, when actually they are simply reinforcing a lot of bad habits. The Chute Camps follows a step by step approach, in which shooters will definitely improve. This camp: 1. Teaches Proper Technique 2. Reinforces Proper Technique at Game Speed 3. Brings about Mastery of Positive Shooting Form. If you want to improve your shooting and offensive skills, The Chute Camp is for you! Counselor in Training Program (C.I.T) transitions youth from being a camper into an Assistant Counselor and potential camp staff. These Leadership camps will explore child development, communication and mentorship from our excellent Camp Instructors. Participants will learn how to facilitate camp activities such as songs, games, and environmental education activities. CIT participants will learn valuable naturalist skills as well as how Oregon State Natural Areas are maintained by Park Rangers, Friends of Tryon Creek staff and volunteers.
