Art Summer Camp/Famous Artists: Ages 5-7 - Town of Harrisburg - Programs
August 1 - 5, 2016: Ages 5-7 - Famous Artists? 9am to Noon: Campers will study famous artists and their art works. Using paint, printmaking, oil pastel and collage techniques campers will create their own masterpieces! Ultimate New England Expedition - Petra Cliffs
Ages 12-16. Begin by getting to know each other on the Bolton Adventure Center ropes course, and then get psyched for a traveling adventure of climbing, hiking and sea kayaking! This trip will include climbing in New Hampshire and on the sea cliffs of Maine in Acadia National Park, sea kayaking around Mt. Desert Island, hiking Cadillac Mountain and Mt. Sports Camp week 2- Flag Football - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of flag football camp, children will focus on the fundamental skills of football such as passing, punting, kicking and defense. Agility and hand-eye coordination will also be emphasized. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of flag football camp will focus on the basic rules of the game such as flag guarding, off sides , false start and passing interference, as well as the scoring system for football and the duties of each position. Additionally, modified games of flag football will be played during the third hour. As the skills of each child advance over the course of the week, the third hour will consist of more realistic game-like situations. Equipment will be provided. New This Year! Thursday Field Tri ps ! Activities include: *A boat trip on the Indian River Lagoon *Seining *Setting up and maintaining aquaria *Area beach and park visits *Fishing *Cast netting *Various water activities *Snorkeling *Arts & Crafts *Games & relay races *Special Friday activities All teachers are state certified and camper/teacher ratio is 20/1.
