7B. Summer Camp - Jr Minecraft Lego Robotics - 5 Days - Gizmos & Gadgets Kids Lab
Jr. engineers and Lego builders will love this camp by bringing Minecraft to life with Lego! Build a motorized walking creeper, a terrifying Ghast, or anything Minecrafty that your imagination can think of! This project-based camp combines the basic format of our engineering themed programs based on the world of Minecraft. Students will use the Systems Engineering V to design, plan and explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects. Level 1 Intensive - TBA - The Loft - iO West
Take Level 1 in one week! Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday In this class you are introduced to all the fundamental skills of improvising, while improving your ability to listen and explore the power of building off of other peoples ideas. Level 1 is a survey of the entire program, exposing you to the elements of scene work and the various skills involved in creating well-acted, comedic improvisation. Passing Criteria: Students must demonstrate that their listening has improved over the course of the term and that they are willing to build off of their partners ideas, in addition to having gained some proficiency with the technical aspects of actually doing so on stage. Small Chefs 1 - Woodlawn Estate
Calling all cooks! Campers will spend the week harvesting, washing, grating, peeling, chopping, mixing and best of all – tasting! Our Small Chefs learn to become comfortable with following recipes and using kitchen utensils. They are also encouraged to throw out the recipes and follow their taste buds! Pablo Picasso once said, ?The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spiders web.? Join us for Visual Arts Camp where we explore emotions, nature and art fundamentals that include drawing, painting, sculpting and more. EV3 SPACE ROBOTICS, MINECRAFT & STOP MOTION ANIMATION - The Derryfield School
Explore the stars! The Star Wars universe will be our guide as we tackle the challenges and adventures of space exploration. Participants will learn how to build and program their own planetary exploration droid in order to find the Rebels a new planet to put their base. Build and program your droid to navigate unseen areas, collect and test samples, and even film its exploits! Participants will learn how to use sensors to help their droid maneuver through an unknown land, in order to collect and test samples and bring back information to the Rebels. Children will even be able to have their droid record its adventures using a smartphone. In the afternoon campers will learn about circuits and Redstone to build Rebel bases on hostile worlds filled with traps and defenses to protect them from the Empire. Later we will take on the role of the Empire and attack each others bases to test their defenses. Children will learn how to camouflage their base into its surroundings (using hidden doors and other techniques), as well as how to use Redstone to create traps and other defenses against the Empire.
