Cartooning Art Camp for Kids - Visual Art Institute
Everyone loves cartoons! Learn the basics of cartooning focusing on the action line, gesture, expression, features, colors, textures, and values. Kids will review lots of popular cartoon works from Disney to Dreamworks. We will assign traits for the cartoon character, and then design original cartoons with those traits. Included in this workshop will be 2 days on caricature exaggeration practice. Kids will tap into their imaginations by coming up with names and titles for their own comic masterpieces. Adventure Camp - Week 3 (4 Days Only) - The Greenwell Foundation
Adventure Camp (ages 8-12 by first day of camp session). This week, Camp runs for 4 days only (Tuesday to Friday) Why is Adventure Camp different? Campers are provided the opportunity to explore further into the park with longer hikes, shelter building, and learning how to build a campfire – and then Smores! Part of Adventure Camp is letting the group direct what activities they would like to do by coming up with new and exciting adventures. The staff has the freedom to be creative when making these fun adventures come to life. Campers will have an opportunity to kayak twice during the week, including a visit to the Hollywood Oyster Company. They will create and run their own unique obstacle course, go fishing and crabbing from the pier, and build their own boats out of recycled materials and test to see if they are sea-worthy. Mid-week, campers will hike to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program. Go! American Girl® 2, Week 7 - Kings Christian Academy
Girls will travel back in time by exploring the literature and history behind the American Girl® dolls while also celebrating their inner star! Crafts, movies, field trips, games, and much more will provide the backdrop of girls discovery of the different periods throughout time. Girls will have fun learning about history, choices, and character as they participate in these activities along with their dolls. Minecraft™ Modding- Ages 9-15 - Goleta Presbyterian Church
(NOT for beginners, must be VERY experienced with Minecraft) For veteran gamers, this camp will explore the dynamic world of Minecraft modding and learn new strategies to assist your survival and creativity. Utilize Redstone to increase creativity, and learn file editing, cyber security, and safe internet browsing techniques. Campers will implement some of the most popular Minecraft mods including Biomes OPlenty, Decocraft, Twilight Forest, Optifine, Pixelmon, as well as mods of the campers choice! This camp will be enhanced with a special multi-player map that will pit teams against each other in a race to the end! All campers ARE REQUIRED to have a Minecraft™ account for this class.
