Youth Skills Camp - Pete Maravich Assembly Center
The camp will focus on individual skill develop-ment. Basic technique will be taught and drilled: competitive drills will be used in the evening to further refine skills. Players will be grouped by age and grade level. The camp schedule includes 2 training sessions on Monday, 3 sessions on Tuesday and 2 sessions on Wednesday. All meals will be provided. Parents are invited to observe camp at any time during the training sessions. Overnight and commuter options are available. *Due to incurred costs to Tiger Volleyball Camps, any and all refunds will be subjected to a processing fee of $10.00. Summer Camp @ La Pintoresca Group C (11-12) - City of Pasadena
This is a 6 week camp that will run from June 27-August 5 from 8-6 pm. (Excluding 4th of July) This traditional camp is high-quality, fun and affordable. Activities include arts and crafts, physical fitness games and challenges, dance, visits to the onsite library at La Pintoresca Park and swimming. Campers play basketball, soccer, volleyball and softball. Instruction is also offered in golf and tennis. Campers are escorted to Robinson Park Recreation Centers swimming pool for recreational swim two times per week. Staff go into the water with the campers and certified lifeguards are always present. Fun field trips are often the highlight of the week. Trips are an additional charge and are scheduled for once a week. This camp is a good fit for active campers who like sports and group activities. The ratio of staff to campers is 1 to 10. Campers are grouped by age, and lunch and a snack are provided. Camp culminates in the annual War Games in which Washington Park Camp and La Pintoresca Park Camps compete in a series of challenges to determine an annual camp champion. Our College ID sessions offer top quality instruction to take your game to the next level. We will work on the technical side of your game at game speed and under game pressure through exercises and competitions that will help improve first touch, receiving and playing the ball with different surfaces of your foot, passing and shooting accuracy, service over distance, defensive positioning, heading, finishing, and MORE! We will also build on your tactical awareness of the game and your understanding of runs off the ball, defensive organization and communication, along with how to deal with numbers up vs. numbers down situations. Sports Camp week 4- Soccer - Orchard Park Recreation
During the first hour of soccer camp, children will focus on the basic skills of soccer such as dribbling, passing, shooting and goal tending , as well as agility and foot-eye coordination. Goal tending will only be taught to those children who volunteer for this position. During the second hour, children will be able to eat a healthy snack and then participate in a series of cooperative games that will enhance their capabilities of being a good teammate and showing good sportsmanship. The third hour of soccer camp will be spent discussing the various rules of soccer such as hand ball, pushing and tripping, and playing modified games of soccer.
