SummerART Camp Studio Art Morning Program 9:30am to 1:45pm Session III: July 25 to August 5 Studio Art Camp Farm to Easel: Animals of the Northeast Celebrate the wonder of summer by exploring the animals and plants that live, blossom, and grow all around us. This session will explore our regions animals and plant life. From the farms to the forest, and birdhouses to beaches, we will be inspired by the colors, shapes, and sound of the flora and fauna that are local to our area. Weather permitting, campers will explore nature on MAMs grounds and at Van Vleck House and Gardens. We will create works of two and three dimensional art in a variety of media inspired by our observations and imaginations! Youth and Young Adult Leadership Conference Sponsored by the North American Division of SDA, the North Pacific Union and the Washington Conference, this conference is designed for pastors, church elders, local youth and young adult leaders and anyone passionate about developing next generation leaders for Jesus. Rogue Robots: LEGO Robotics Camp - San Angelo, TX
Robots aren’t just inventions in a galaxy far, far away— they exist here on Earth, at your local library! Join us this Winter Break for a Star Wars-themed robotics camp. Each day we’ll watch a clip from the movies, and build a LEGO robot inspired by the film. The library will be hosting two four-day camps—attending all four days is not mandatory, but each class will build upon the previous classes. No prior experience in LEGO robotics necessary, but seating is limited so RSVP is required. Youth Leadership Summit 2.0
Held in Ashland, Nebraska at Carol Joy Holling Camp and Retreat Center, this event will gather youth from across the ELCA for intentional leadership development and faith formation. Our guests include Presiding Bishop Eaton, Kevin Strickland, Assistant to the Presiding Bishop/Executive for Worship, Stephen Bouman, Executive Director for Congregational and Synodical Missions of the ELCA, and several other wonderful speakers and teachers. Our featured presenter is Lyle Griner who will be coaching us on Peer Ministry. Each synod will select two youth to participate and send one adult to accompany them on the journey. Registration will be covered by a special grant. Your only responsibilities will be travel and being open to what God has in store for you through this event. Registration closes on October 1, 2015.

Taught by Ms. Hasanthi, this class is for students who are from 3 1/2 to 7 years of age. Classes offer young children exposure to Verity of art medians to help develop their fine motor skills. The art class develops the childs ability to create independent drawings on their own, which enables children to participate in international and local art competitions. They will develop strength of mind and an ordered intellect and will be able to think for themselves. Students use pastels, acrylic and tempera paints to create their art work.
