Super Heroes, Super Builders! - Hazen High School
The Super Heroes need your help to save the day! Create motorized vehicles using LEGO® components for the heroes to ride. Make the Batmobile, a flying craft for Supergirl, Captain Americas motorcycle, Iron Mans Quinjet, and the perfect ride for Spiderman. Each day, students have a mission to accomplish with the help of the project they build. We provide step-by-step instructions so students can incorporate motors and gears into their creations. Students then customize their projects and proceed on their missions. Students learn about the following mechanisms and systems as they build and play with their projects: •How gears control the speed and torque (power) of vehicles •How pulley systems transfer power to move objects •How you can change the direction of movement with bevel gears •How liftarms can be used to make strong attachments and add cool designs to creations •How to build fast-moving vehicles that stay together in crash tests •How to make Super Hero minifigures leap ten times their length in a single bound (really)! Go! American Girl® 2, Week 7 - Kings Christian Academy
Girls will travel back in time by exploring the literature and history behind the American Girl® dolls while also celebrating their inner star! Crafts, movies, field trips, games, and much more will provide the backdrop of girls discovery of the different periods throughout time. Girls will have fun learning about history, choices, and character as they participate in these activities along with their dolls. Each week will bring a whole new set of characters, both historical and recent, to life as we take a look at the unique challenges theyve faced. 301-994-3080

What better way to wind down the summer at the Coon Rapids Ice Center than with a week devoted to SUMMERs OLYMPIC GAMES EVENTS and HOCKEY (Ice Hockey, Floor Hockey) And with the Closing Ceremonies there will be an All Sports theme when not doing Hockey coupled with an awards ceremony for all these Active Kids hard work. Featured Field Trip : Twins Game vs. Detroit Tigers, Thursday, August 25 FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9:00am-4:00pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7:00am and picked up as late as 6:00pm.
