AAC Winter Camp 2016 - Wintergreen Mountain Resort
Adventure Amputee Camp is very excited to be holding the second annual ski and snowboard winter camp! We will host campers at Wintergreen Resort located in Wintergreen, VA (near Richmond and Charlottesville, Va) with Wintergreen Adapted Sports. Apply now to participate in skiing/snowboarding, tubing, swimming, ice skating and more! Camp will be held January 23-26, 2016. Please note that AAC will NOT be providing transportation to and from Wintergreen Resort. It is the responsibility of each family represented to make transportation arrangements. Defensive Specialist Camp - Beck Center
The Defensive Specialist camp will be a two‐part camp that will focus on the defensive portion of the game as well as the serve receive aspect of the game. There will be a progression of each skill from the building of your platform to the actual movement of hitting the floor. This camp will teach you all of the skills and fundamentals that you will need to become the libero for your team. Campers will receive a T‐Shirt. 859-233-8300

Girls Lacrosse Camp - Hopkins Campus
Join Blake girls varsity lacrosse coach Linda Hokr and her staff for the fastest game on two feet. This camp will help develop fundamental skills to grow and master the sport — all while having a whole lot of fun. Each day focuses on a specific skill set, beginning with a series of drills and concluding with a game-like setting during which campers put those skills to use. Former and current high school varsity lacrosse players are present to ensure that each camper receives individual attention throughout the week. All levels are welcome; beginners are encouraged. Players are grouped based on age and experience. Girls must provide their own lacrosse stick*, goggles*, cleats, mouth guard and water bottle. *Sticks and goggles will be available on loan to the first 20 registrants. 952-988-3463

Java, Flipped! An Online Programming Course - NuMinds [Online Course]
How Does it Work? Each Friday of the course (see dates below) a new module is sent to students with a self-paced lesson and weekly challenge. Then, on the following Monday, in a "live chat" from 6 - 7 pm, the teacher will answer questions, provide feedback on that weeks challenge, and guide students through the joys of Java programming. Each module will contain multiple labs comprised of problems and a longer app at the end. Each individual lab will introduce a new concept / programming construct. Thats a few hours of available content per week! This hands-on, lab-based approach to learning programming reflects how programmers really learn--by doing, and at their own pace. What Technology Do I Need? Just a computer! The initial welcome packet you receive prior to the course start date will include instructions on how to install an IDE (the software youll use to write your programs) and how to connect to the Monday live interactions.
