We are so exited to announce our kids cooking camp! This is a three day camp to be held inside the beautiful Majestic Hall at Walnut Grove. The Camp will include: Day 1 Homemade muffins, strawberry, blueberry, bananas, or chocolate chip Making Pizza from scratch Day 2 Southwest Egg Rolls Quesadillas Day 3 Spring Rolls Stir Fried Noodles with Veggies Each Day will include - snack preparation 10-11 - snack time 11-11:30 - actvity break 11:30 - 12:30 - entree preparation 12:30 - 1:30 - eating time 1:30 - 2:00 Camp fee is $225 per child ages 6-12 We are concerned with the safety of the children atteneding our camp. Have you ever wondered how our ancestors survived in the wild? This week will dispel some of the mystery as you learn skills all cultures have used for time eternal. Learn how to make cordage and fire using primitive techniques. Learn how and where to build a survival shelter that you can actually sleep in on our Wednesday campout. Of course, no week of Mountain Kids would be complete without moments of serendipity where we get curious and learn from nature and play. Scientists Explorers - Gulf Shores/Orange Beach Alabama
Scientist Explorers will engage in activities real scientists use to explore marine life and the ocean including research, microscopes, animal behaviors and anatomy. A field trip to the Alabama Marine Resources in Gulf Shores will take place on Thursday to tour the facility, which contains a fish hatchery with marine biologists.
