Spring Peepers 1/2 Day - EcoAdventures
Spring Peepers: March 24th Listen for me on a spring night, on a wet night, on a rainy night. Listen for me on a still night, For in the night, I sing. (by Joyce Sidman). Campers hop in to our pond and join us as we celebrate our awesome amphibians. Slimey salamanders, fantastic frogs, toadally cool toads will come out to play. We will take a hike to our local pond and muck about searching for spring peepers. Hop to it, you dont want to miss our frog races. Campers will make frogalicious snacks and funky frog crafts. August Strings Full Day Session - Portland First Church of the Nazarene
We offer a unique experience of instrument specific ensembles in our morning session and a combined ensemble in our afternoon session. Students will receive both small and large group coaching from our music specialists and camp counselors. We will also have fun with musical games and activities throughout the day to build teamwork and a positive group dynamic. During the week we will be working up to a concert on Friday afternoon to share what we have learned. We hope each student will enjoy the week of learning new music and making new friends! Mountain Bike Camp - Fort Tuthill County Park
Develop the skills and attitude to become a lifetime mountain biker including riding skills and strategies, safety, trail etiquette, stewardship, environmental awareness, and bike maintenance. Staging at Fort Tuthill County Park, Exit 337 off I-17, unless told otherwise. Participants may meet at another location as trips demand. Trails will range from moderate to difficult. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Helmets are required ! Participants should have their own bike in good working condition. Bikes are available to borrow/rent. TAC Summer Camp: Ages 5-6 Week 6 - Manhattan Studio
Campers aged 5-6 have fun creating with their peers in age appropriate classes inspired by a current textile related exhibition in New York. Campers will try their hand at printing, felting, sewing, weaving, and dyeing with both natural + synthetic dyes, creating finished projects every week. Every day, campers venture on a field trip to the Textile Arts Center Manhattan to print, dye, sew, and on Weaving Wednesdays, campers work on looms to create their very own contemporary fabric.
