Students will learn about project design, object-oriented programming, console applications, graphics applications and many elements of the Java language. Students will build on what they learn each day. This includes learning how to program frames, colors and programming moving objects. The week begins with simple programming until it builds by the end where students will be able to create the game of pong in Java. You See Dirt, We See Art! - Emma Davidson - Touchstone Center for Crafts
Take a step into a whimsical world of creation and imagination when you enter Touchstones enchanted forest. You will embark on a journey between worlds, as we create beautiful art from nature. Whether you are painting with mud or building a collaborative sculpture, this week of wonder and intrigue is one you dont want to miss! Working outside and in the studio, individually and collaboratively, you will end this week with greater art making skills and a better understanding of our surrounding world. Emma Davidson earned her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Between 2012 and 2015, she was on staff at Touchstone Center for Crafts and worked as a teaching artist for various organizations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Currently, Emma is living Juneau, Alaska, where she is enjoying a year-long, dual art and teaching residency at the Canvas.
