Ever wonder how still images and objects are brought to life? Discover the magic of stop motion animation in this simple and fun course that explores the endless possibilities of the iStopmotion app. Transform clay and magazine clippings or turn your drawings, photographs and everyday objects into moving works of art. Create movies, animated greeting cards, school projects, band videos, moving logos or just the best viral-worthy nonsense perfect for posting on your favorite social media site. Be inspired by nature! We will balance our time between creating art outdoors, using natural materials in their natural environment, and collecting objects outdoors to create art with nature indoors. We will study nature artist Andy Goldsworthys work and we will create impermanent art such as earth mandalas, spirals, and fairy homes inspired by his work. Inspired by The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Grunch tells the story of Rudy Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who always feels like an outsider.
