Soccer Shots Philadelphia is coming to GFS this spring! Soccer Shots is the premier childrens soccer experience for children from preschool to second grade. Through quality, high-energy soccer programming with principled instruction from highly-trained coaches, Soccer Shots emphasizes soccer skills and character development with fun, age-appropriate play. Soccer Shots instructors use each session to teach children important character and social concepts, such as teamwork, confidence and respect. Moreover, their weekly, semester-long approach will take all children from the most basic understanding of soccer through the 10 fundamental skills all soccer players need to know. Finally, Soccer Shots teaches players positive life skills designed to leave a lasting impact on every child who participates. Camp Constitution's Annual Family Summer Camp - Rindge, NH
Dear Friends, Campers, Staff, and All, Camp season is coming! We’ve secured Toah Nipi in the beautiful woods of Rindge, New Hampshire, for Sunday, July 10 – Sunday, July 17, 2016. Back for her third year, Mrs. Kris Anne Hall, a vigorous young mother will again be teaching about heroic men and women from our countryʼs founding, and the documents of freedom leading up to it. There will be a whole line-up of speakers and teachers, with more to be announced. Other returning instructors or mentors include with Mr. Peik,Mr. Shurtleff, Mr. Hoderny, Mr. “V,” and me. Mr. Peik will again lead Campfires, the Round Robin for Student Input and Q & A, and weʼll even find time for a final exam to help you see your progress! Family Camp is growing! We will again conduct the Junior Patriot Camp Program, making for a truly great family vacation! We welcome families with younger children, or no children, plus grandparents, and others (See worksheet for family accommodations.) We always have a wonderful group of young people and it is so good to see them interacting well with the little ones, with each other, with the grown ups, and even with us ancient ones! Go Kids Camp - Emerson - Emerson Elementary
This program is devoted to educating youth about the importance of healthy living. Participants learn about nutrition and physical fitness through informational speakers, recreational activities and field trips. Participants must attend the first and last week of the program. Parents of participants are required to attend 3 meetings to educate the family on the program and teaching healthy living at home. First parent meeting is June 1st from 6-7p at Banner Childrens Medical Center. Parents are required to attend the pre-camp meeting to sign health screening waivers and receive the camp calendar. No refunds are given for this program. A medical release form must be completed by a physician for each participant by the end of the first week of the program. Visual Arts Camp - Session 3 - Takoma Park Community Center
Have fun and express yourself through color, shape, drawing and design! Each session includes a new art related theme and group of art processes and activities. Sharpen your drawing skills, explore new materials and exercise your imagination with inspiring art projects. Two hours of drawing in the morning using graphite, pen and ink, colored pencils, charcoal pencils, pastels, oil pastels or conte crayon, etc. followed by two + hours of painting and/or collage and assemblage in the afternoon. Media such as watercolor painting, sumi-e, mixed media painting, texture and found - object assemblage will be explored. Art related movies, access to the game room during the day and outdoor art adventures are all included in what will certainly be a memorable summer experience. All materials included. This mini camp will focus on what it means to be a Presbyterian in todays world. Campers learn about how we understand our faith through an explanation of the Cross and Flame Logo. Included in the week will be all the traditional camp favorite activities like campfires, swimming, 9 - square, crafts, hiking and more.
