Join us as we learn how to create wonderful creatures using a variety of fun art materials. We will work on different surfaces and also with air dry clay in 3-D. Discover how dragons got their fiery reputation, create your own creature puppet, and learn some special art tricks that will help you draw anything you can imagine! Campers will also learn about the ancient Oviraptor, the artist Marc Chagal while they create their very own mythical masterpiece to bring home! The Summer Camp Event 2016 - New York, NY
Come celebrate The Summer Camp with us! Open bar, free food, camp things and The Wooly DJ! TSC sends over 350 underprivileged girls (ages 6-18) from low-income and foster families to camp in Maine each summer. Unlike similar organizations, TSC brings campers back year after year. So the programming— and the community— grow with the campers. TSC also provides a literacy program to make sure that campers are reading at grade level as well as a mentorship program for “graduates." Who wouldnt want to play with robots all day? We will work in teams to invent awesome contraptions to preform creative tasks and challenges. Campers will also enjoy playing robotics related activity games that encourage problem solving and critical thinking. Of course, no robot day is complete without a battle or two.
