FULL - Technique I - Combo - Wednesday 5:00pm (Spring) - CHAW
Semester-long technique classes are designed to give beginning dancers an opportunity to learn foundational skills in ballet, tap and jazz dance. All students perform in demonstrations or recitals held in conjunction with CHAW-wide performance festivals at the end of each session. HS Robotics with Arduino Week 3 - Merrill Engineering Building
A week-long camp for entering 10th, 11th, and 12th graders; or 9th graders who have taken a middle school camp. Campers will build and program machines that react to the world and to people using embedded computers, sensors, and motors based on the Arduino family of processors. This is a fun, engaging camp that doesnt need any prior experience, but uses "real" gear in creative ways. The Arduino system is used in the University of Utah undergraduate Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science courses, so this is a great way to see what goes on in those majors. This camp runs from 9AM-3PM, M-F. Some interest or aptitude in computers and/or building things is expected for this camp. Lunch is provided. 801-585-1726

Snapology - The Philadelphia School
Take off on a robotics adventure featuring LEGO® models with working motors and sensors! Work in teams under guided instructions to build and program your models for a fun adventure. Student will get to build a different model each class, and learning is enhanced through use of laptops. Snapology programs provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn science, technology, engineering, math, and literacy concepts using LEGO® bricks and other similar building tools to teach children development skills and concepts of science. The children have so much fun building models and robots they hardly even realize its educational! Whether youre a budding fashionista looking to make a trendy dress, or a crafty kid learning how to create a purple unicorn, this camp is perfect for you! With a plethora of on trend sewing patterns to choose from and bolts and bolts of tempting fabric, our Fashion & Machine Sewing program offers unlimited choices. Patient and skilled counselors work with individual campers of all abilities to teach all the necessary skills, from learning how to use a sewing machine to measuring, pinning, cutting, and putting patterns together.
