Day Camp 1 - Denton A. Cooley Pavilion
Campers are taught all aspects of the game. A typical day at camp includes station work with emphasis on fundamentals such as shooting, passing, footwork, defense, rebounding, and ball handling. We also have a variety of contests, drills, league games, and a tournament at the end of each camp. Throughout our camps we put a special emphasis on our core values, Appreciation, Enthusiasm, Competitiveness, Teamship and Accountability. With appearances from our Texas Mens Basketball coaching staff and players, our campers get an inside look at what it is like to be a part of an elite division one basketball program. Sport camps and clinics conducted by The University of Texas are open to any and all entrants. Enrollment is limited only by age, grade level, gender, and capacity restrictions as specified by each camp. Please note that NCAA guidelines prohibit payment of camp expenses (e.g., transportation, camp fees, spending money, etc.) by a representative of The University of Texas athletics interests. NCAA rules also prohibit free or reduced camp admission for prospects (7th grade and above in mens basketball). Sorry, no camp scholarships available.

Natures Explorers - Week 2 - Nature Center at Shaker Lakes
Discover how Native Americans survived in Northeast Ohio. Well learn about their traditions, explore their connection to the Earth and practice using a bow and area during an archery lesson. Summer Camp @ Arroyo Seco Park Group A (8-9) - City of Pasadena
The Arroyo Seco Adventure Camp offers opportunities to learn about our local, natural resources in a fun and exciting way. Now in its third year, this innovative camp pairs environmental education with traditional camp activities. Based in Brookside Park with regular activities in the lower Arroyo, this is an outdoor camp. The first week of camp focuses on origins of the Arroyo Seco and the geological events that created this amazing space. Other weeks focus on plants of the Arroyo, local animals and myths, protecting and exploring nature and survival skills. Conservation specialists lead daily nature walks and instruct on conservation of environmental resources, native plants and local wildlife. Other activities include casting pond fly-fishing, archery, horseback riding, hiking, environmental education lessons, swimming, art and group games. Campers go on a weekly environmental themed field trip. In previous years, trips included kayaking, nature centers and local farms. Staff ratio is 1 to 10. This camp is a great fit for campers ages eight to twelve who are interested in nature and are called to explore different kinds of recreation. Bay Bounders (Week 3 AM) - Pirate-ology - NESS
Enlist into the ranks of pirate science. Consider sediment densities to determine optimal treasure burial, become a pirate cartographer while making your own treasure map, experiment with eye dominance to determine eye patch orientation, design a boat to withstand the high seas, and go geocaching to find buried treasure Take a short sailing trip on a 23 foot Sonar to look into wind generation for guaranteed quick getaways.
