Senior Camp 2016 - Randleman, NC
A few days to BE A KID AGAIN! Join us while we have a great week of fun and fellowship. WoodmenLife members and their spouses, ages 55 and up. Camp fee is ONLY $35 Trust me, these aren't "just old folks", we have a blast and do almost all the same activities the youth campers do! New for 2016 we have added a day trip to Millstone Creek Orchards in Ramseur, Thursday October 6th. Bus fair is sponsored by the Bessemer City Chapter 1286, and tickets are covered in your registration fee. Don’t forget to bring YOUR secret award winning dessert for our Home Cookin’ Cook Off. The winner will receive a prize from WoodmenLife. Bring your silent auction items, as we will be holding a benefit for the camp. Also we will participate in another food drive for our National Community Focus, FIGHT HUNGER! Items will be donated to a local shelter. Things you will need to bring: Bedding items: sheets and blankets. Personal hygiene items: soap, shampoo, bug spray and sun block are recommended. Our Annual Giving Campaign “Send a Kid to Camp” program provides scholarships for underserved, underprivileged, deserving kids to attend summer camp and participate in valuable outdoor education opportunities. Many children never have the opportunity to experience the magic of camp and it is our goal to ensure that every child has this opportunity. Camp helps kids to do better in school, lessening the detrimental effects of summer learning loss and builds invaluable self-confidence. Instructor: Fairfax Theatre Company Ages: 5-13 years Monday- Friday, Jul 18 ? Aug 12 (see sessions below), 9:00am -3:00pm Location: Lanier Middle School, 3801 Jermantown Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030 Truro Anglican Church, 10520 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22030 At our unique Summer Drama Camp, kids write and improv to create their own play or musical performed at the end of each week! Each day campers rotate through sessions in art, music, dance, acting and stage combat - with some fun time for camp games and recess. Campers are divided by age and each play is written and performed with peers. Gross, whats that?! Learn about all things disgusting: blood you can drink, snot you can feel, and all the sticky, messy slimy goop you can handle. 503 232 0186
Session 4 White/Orange Level - World of Golf
Class will meet once a week on Mondays for a total of four weeks. In this introductory level, juniors learn swing fundamentals, safety, and basic fitness routines. Familiarization with the golf course and facility are also explored in a fun and non-intimidating way. Juniors develop full swing techniques and are introduced to basic chipping and putting methods. Simple rules and etiquette will get them ready for the golf course. Character Traits learned: Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Respect. 859-371-8255
