Clay Camp: Session 1/ Grades 6 - 8 Learn the basics of wheel-throwing on the pottery wheel and a variety of handbuilding techniques. Lessons include both functional objects created on the wheel and hand-built sculptural clay forms. Final projects will be completed using alternative outdoor firing processes including raku and smoke-firing. Get the clay spinning and experience the fun of throwing on a wheel! Campers will get a handle on the basics behind wheel throwing and have an opportunity to explore different techniques.
