Parkers new summer Writing Workshops for students entering grades 10-12 offers students the opportunity to learn, explore, review and practice a variety of writing skills, including grammar, usage and sentence structures. These intensive, one-week workshops will help students fill gaps, develop comfort, and prepare for future classroom writing experiences. These workshops will be taught by members of the Francis Parker English Department Faculty. In the workshop for rising 11th and 12th graders, students will work in a variety of genres including persuasive, analytical, narrative and creative, with a special concentration on grammar/usage and the personal essay. Join us Friday October 23rd-Sunday October 25th for an unforgettable weekend learning about our culture & faith. Retreat is a great way to take a break from city life and connect with one another, ultimately making memories that will last a lifetime. Our topic for the weekend will be: Who am I? Who are we? Please keep in mind that the weekend is designed for ACYO members that are 18 years of age or older. $65 Per Person There is still room in the van driving up to Senior Retreat from the Diocese in Southern California. Designed for middle and older teens, Extreme Sports Camp is packed full of classic amp experiences which include opportunities to learn sailing, water skiing, canoeing kayaking, four wheeling, archery, riflery, barrel racing, paint-balling, and swimming. Students participate in team building activities while learning to delegate, rely on others, and practice decision-making skills.
