PTHC Kid's Camp-Volunteers Urgently Needed! - Philadelphia, PA
On June 4th, 5th, and 6th, the Philadelphia Convention Center will be host to the annual Philadelphia Trans-Health Conference, the country's largest gathering of transgendered individuals, families, allies, and caregivers. Part of the festivities is the Kid's Camp, where we endeavor to provide safe, affirming, and awesomely fun activities to the children attending the camp. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we are low on volunteers on Friday afternoon and evening and all day Saturday. If you are available any portion of the day Friday from noon to 7 p.m. or Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and can supply a valid child abuse clearance (within the last 2 years), please message me. I volunteered at the Kid's Camp of PTHC last year, and it was a truly amazing experience! I hope you'll consider joining us! Please also consider sharing this message!

Unique Summer Camps Just For Ages 9-13: Pioneer Camp - Grove, OK
July 18-21, Pioneer Camp, 9:30am-noon, $60 Have you ever wondered how the Pioneers lived long ago? This camp will allow you to experience many of the daily experiences of that time period bringing history to life. Print on a printing press, weave on a loom, learn how a blacksmith creates metal objects, dip candles and play with old-fashioned toys. Explore the items in “Grandmother’s Trunk” and learn how they were used, and cook on the hearth in Har-Ber Village’s Living History Cabin.

CIT (Counselor in Training) - Positive Energy Outdoors
Spend time this summer as a CIT with Positive Energy Outdoors and become an outdoor leader. As a mentor and role model for younger campers, youll assist PEO staff with games, team building challenges and camp activities including kayaking, SUP, rock climbing, hiking, draft horses and more. Youll also be trained to help with the maurices portable climbing wall at community events. A mandatory training/orientation session is required on Friday, June 10 from 12 - 4 pm. A commitment of at least one full week of camp is required for participation, and transportation is available from Marshall School (drop off at 8:15 am and pick up at 4:45 each day). Advanced Robotics with LEGO EV3-Gayton Baptist - Gayton Baptist Church
Using LEGOs New EV3 Space Challenge Set and Activity Pack, campers are introduced to robotics with a very current and real-world theme, traveling to and living on Mars! Campers will work as scientists and engineers as they progress through a set of lessons, challenges, and projects that fully integrate science, technology, engineering, and math concepts, while prompting creative problem solving, communication, and teamwork. Campers will learn the basics of gears to help them apply physical science and math principles to build effective robots. They will also progress through a series of missions in which they investigate, observe, calculate, and apply their knowledge to solve specific tasks.
