Go! American Girl® 2, Week 7 - Kings Christian Academy
Girls will travel back in time by exploring the literature and history behind the American Girl® dolls while also celebrating their inner star! Crafts, movies, field trips, games, and much more will provide the backdrop of girls discovery of the different periods throughout time. Girls will have fun learning about history, choices, and character as they participate in these activities along with their dolls. All STEAM Ahead! - AM - St. Johns Episcopal School
Develop and use STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) skills to solve problems and create new inventions. This hands-on camp will provide children with great opportunities think outside the box, build, create and invent solutions to problems uncovered through reading trickster tales from around the world as well as other picture books about engineering. Each child will have a journal to work in so that they are able to reflect on their learning. Minecraft & More $200.00 Rising 2nd-5th Session I July 11-15 8:30am-1:00pm *NOTE DIFFERENT TIME & FEE Session II July 25-29 This week long summer camp will offer boys and girls the opportunity to build a peaceful, cooperative, fun and exciting world using the GDS Minecraft server. We will turn the Lower School Technology Lab into Minecraft World! Come join your friends, or meet new ones as we share our Minecraft adventures and worlds. And theres more- During this camp, we will also investigate coding and cad using other programs that encourage technical creative thinking. Too much screen time isnt good for anyone, so part of each day students will explore several types of manipulatives to stimulate their creative minds. NOTE: All students must have their own Log-in and Password for Minecraft on a PC. Go to Minecraft.net for information on how to purchase your membership to set-up your log-in and password. Fashion & Machine Sewing - Lower School
Whether youre a budding fashionista looking to make a trendy dress, or a crafty kid learning how to create a purple unicorn, this camp is perfect for you! With a plethora of on trend sewing patterns to choose from and bolts and bolts of tempting fabric, our Fashion & Machine Sewing program offers unlimited choices. Patient and skilled counselors work with individual campers of all abilities to teach all the necessary skills, from learning how to use a sewing machine to measuring, pinning, cutting, and putting patterns together. Forts and Tunnels - FULL (see Forts and Tunnels II Week 4) - Old Trail School
Campers will have fun in the woods turning branches into forts meant for spies or explorers! They will create tunnels or secret hideouts using easy-to-find materials, a few tools and lots of imagination. It will be a week of open-ended play that emphasizes unstructured creative exploration with diverse natural materials.
