StagePlay: Jr. Musical Theater Camp - Palos Park Recreation Center
Unlike the "olden days", when fun was dependent on whatever was readily available, so much of todays youth leisure time is spent staying connected through technology. What would happen if suddenly all that went away? "A Kids Life" will explore that possibility, and thats where the fun and music all begin! The StagePlay program also incorporates valuable life lessons such as teamwork, commitment, conquering fear, being prepared, confidence and theater etiquette. On the last day of camp, our talented young stars perform for friends and family, showing off all that they have learned in only one week. Participants will receive a souvenir camp t-shirt. KidSport Combo Ages 7-13 8/1-8/5 Soccer/Baseball - Scarlett Middle School
[] Grades 7 - 13 Full Day Combo (Ages 7-13) Children must bring morning and afternoon snack, lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, goggles and wear tennis shoes. Campers bring snacks, lunch and beverage. Lunchtime supervision provided. Director: Kerry Winkelseth, UM School of Kinesiology. Full Day, Monday-Friday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curbside Pick-up and Drop-off. Staff will pick up campers from your car at 8:00 AM and deliver back to your car at 4:00 PM. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. The activities are age appropriate and developed by experts in childrens physical education. KidSport is staffed by certified teachers as well as physical education and education majors focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids! Star Wars: Building a Galaxy with Code - Hyatt Place
Work with Rey to guide the new droid, BB-8, through a mission. Then, join Leia to create and share your own game in a galaxy far, far away. Students will learn to write JavaScript to power their games taking their games to the next level and applying more JavaScript. Great follow-up to students who have taken "Minecraft and JavaScript" as well as for first-time coders. 347-787-0435

3D Game Design with Minecraft - Fishers of Men Lutheran Church
Minecraft is a block-building sandbox game with no set rules, where you can build anything you can possible imagine. Lets pretend youre alone in a mysterious new world, full of hidden dangers. You have only minutes to find food and shelter before darkness falls and the monsters come looking for you. What do you do? What we teach you might just save your life! Learn how to find resources; make a shelter; craft tools, armor, and weapons, and protect yourself from monsters. Campers also create their own adventure map as design, production, and test playing guide them. Campers learn how to work as a team as they take on the real-world jobs of programmer, game designer, artist, and architect. There are two modes of the game. The scenario above describes the survival mode. There is also a creative mode where there are no monsters and you will be able to fly around and have unlimited resources to build amazing creations and buildings. What kind of adventure you choose will be up to you! This camp is for beginners and those already playing the game. All campers are required to have a Minecraft™ account for this class.
