Tired of the 2D world? Join us for a week of 3D creativity. We will explore the worlds of 3D animation and 3D graphics and printing. Learn how to create and animate your world with Alice 3.0 software. These skills can be used to make movies, games and more. Using SketchUp and 3D printing software, we will create our own objects and then bring them to reality. Find out the steps it takes to get your creation out of the computer and into your hands! Lego Action Jrs. - The Surge Community Center
This camp is for the younger LEGO fan that is just getting into LEGO. JRS will learn basic building techniques, play building oriented games, and create from their own imagination. Projects like building racecars, animals, mosaics are few of the things the children will work on. Action LEGOs puts fun in motion as students learn how to use gears, motors, potential energy and balance to create numerous contraptions. Through the excitement of building, our summer camp students understand how gears translate motion and how different types of energy can propel vehicles and machines. After each building project, summer camp kids customize, share, and enjoy playing with their creations. Kids have many opportunities free building, playing Lego games creating their own amazing projects. We are focused on active learning because the development of the brain is so important in the early years and research proves that children learn by doing. The Shepherdstown Elementary Day Camp offers weekly themed crafts and activities. T-shirt is included in camp price. Camp hours are 8:00am-4:00pm.Full payment is due at time of registration. Parent or guardian MUST complete a camp registration form as well a health form for each child they are registering. STATE LICENSING DISCLAIMER: Due to state law regulations we are required to limit the number of days a child is allowed to attend summer day camps, or any camp lasting more than 6 hours.
