LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Camp Collegiate Session 4 3rd-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hawley Session 4: Cool Chemistry Camp Camp Collegiate is a fast-paced, fun-based learning experience that is meant to make summer days fly by with fun activities. Boys and girls in third through eighth grade spend their days with friends and counselors doing all of the typical camp things: swimming, cooking out on a camp fire, canoe trips, arts and crafts, having treats, horseback riding, games … and a lot of not-so-traditional things: feeding and caring for snakes and hamsters; studying ecosystems and astronomy; competing in science challenges; building woodworking and electronics projects. Fun off-campus trips will include canoeing down the Fall River, visiting the Oklahoma salt flats, going to Laser Quest, the Alley, Ice Skating, Tanganyika, the Sedgwick Co. Zoo, and All-Star Adventures. Kids often say that great memories are made in this camp and its one of the best parts of their summer! Each day at camp begins at 9:00 AM with a game of Capture the Flag and ends at 3:00 PM with a fun closing activity where the Happy Camper for the day is announced. I sent my teenager to the Taft Summer School in Watertown, CT this past summer and I am so glad I did! She was able to get intensive learning in a school environment, but it wasn't school. It was more fun and had a lot of extras, so she was able to get the best of both worlds. The teachers are excited to teach and that’s why the campers learn so much. August Evening Camp - Dogwood Hill Elementary School
For children ages U6-U7, our camps will introduce and develop your childs love of soccer through a sequence of dribbling, shooting, balance, running, jumping, and movement educations drills along with a variety of fun-filled games. Your child will learn how to follow direction and improve their social skills by connecting with their peers and instructors. For children ages U8-U10, our camps will reinforce proper technique and develops players athletic abilities through a sequence of lifting & juggling, eye-foot coordination, running with the ball, passing, receiving, moves while dribbling, and heading & crossing drills. Your child will learn how to dominate the ball by having the correct body mechanics. Player development is achieved with game-like activities and is enjoyed by all players. In addition, if your child is preparing to play for a recreation or club team; this program will institute the fundamental soccer skills required for the next level of competition. For players ages U11-U14 and U15-U19, our camps allow the developing player to be competent in all aspects of basic techniques through a sequence of educational movement and execution. Under the supervision of Kennesaw Parks & Recreation staff, children can independently choose and engage in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, games, puzzles, reading, drawing or simply socializing with friends. At 9:00am, children will be escorted to camp, and signed-in by a staff member. Fees will not be pro-rated for partial attendance. Sing with a Professional [A] - Coyote Central
This course will focus on choral work and youll dive deeper into the art of listening as you build harmonies layered with solo moments. Song selection will come from around the globe as you discover your own creative singing voice. Youll be training like a professional through serious voice warm ups and voice manipulation while you sing through music genres such as the blues, rock, pop, gospel and vocal jazz. Youll work on stage presence and mic control as you figure out & break down what makes a great performance - which together youll create for a grand last day finale. All levels of singers, welcome! Full Day Camp Designed for golfers age 9-15 our Full Day camp is tailored for golfers already playing the course. Juniors will be coached in all areas including: swing mechanics, putting, short game, golf rules/knowledge, etiquette, creativity, and on course activities.
