Advanced Player Development - Nugget Field
Our advanced camps are aimed towards players aged 10 and above who have playing experience. This camp is all about improving your technical ability and knowledge of the game. A big part of this camp is working on positioning, decision making, applying skills in the right times and allowing players to learn through playing the game. Through the week you will work on technical skills such as: - Passing and moving into space - Creating angles - Dribbling/running with the ball - First touch/control of the ball - Attacking and defending headers - Crossing and finishing - Shooting from range - 1v1 attacking and defending - Attacking and defending overloads (916) 827-0820
Book & Movie Inspired Art (P.M.) with Pam Peters - Westerly Creek Elementary (Art Room)
Teacher: Pam Peters Childrens stories and movies will be the springboard for creating unique pieces of art. Projects will include collage, painting and clay. Children are encouraged to bring their favorite book or story to share, as well as examples of their favorite movie character. We close online registration 24 hours prior to camp start. This camp will introduce young actors to playmaking, a process of making theatre as an ensemble through creative play. Students will explore acting, storytelling, costumes, props, music and movement to bring a timeless folktale to life on stage. They also learn how to sing, act and dance to a Broadway-style song. Comfortable, free range of motion clothes must be worn, along with jazz, character or sneakers. Jeans will not be permitted. 248-373-5300
