Teens ages 13-17 will work with Ignites’ experienced instructors to learn the arts of Glass Blowing, Solid Sculpting, and Flameworking. No prior glass experience necessary. Each student will create at least 3 finished glass projects, blown and/or solid during the session. $350 per person

Week 4- BotShopRocks-SHEBOT - Bot Shop Location
In this session, SHEbot to the Rescue: Saving the World with Robots! , participants will learn how getting involved in building, programming and competing with LEGO NXT robots can lead to careers that help the world become safer, easier, and more. While having fun participant are engaged in teamwork, as well as computer programming, problem solving using math, robot engineering, design concepts, and critical thinking. My hope is to demonstrate to girls that whether they are really into the "techie" side of careers on not, STEM has a pathway to their dreams to make the world a better place. 8322080445.0

Do you have a child who is passionate about drawing, painting, crafts and creating? If so, these afternoon session will not disappoint! Each day, campers will learn about an artist and complete an art project. Children will be introduced to basic art vocabulary, exposed to a wide variety of mediums and encouraged to acquire new skills through their art projects. Sizzling Music, Latin Dance & Culture Adventure Week We make it easy for our campers to learn the basic dance steps of traditional dances of Columbia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Perú, Chile & more. Campers gain geographical, cultural and artistic awareness of South American countries through exposure to their music, food and dance forms. Additionally campers learn how to move to new rhythms. No prior dance training required. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook, play sports and discover the joys of learning Spanish through engaging activities. Theme vocabulary includes colors, counting, verbs, nouns related to instruments, adjectives, sounds, tastes and places. Campers learn common Spanish words & phrases for movements, directions & parts of the body while getting in shape to lively music. Celebration Day Wed. (participation optional) Global Trek Day Come to camp wearing the colors of your favorite Latin American countrys flag and decorate your own passport. During camper choice time visit each countrys slice of life table and earn your passport stamp by trying out new activities and sampling some more of their culture Notes: There may be options for arranging late pick up the same day. Each day will have a new focus of how to tell a story while ensuring that all the elements are there and that any audience can understand. Imagination is a must! Have you been taking lessons or playing in your school orchestra? Come to our String Chamber Camp! Gain confidence and independence as you play in small groups with no more than two students playing each part. Improve your ensembles skills and play more expressively with the help of MacPhail string faculty and teaching interns. Camp will conclude with a final performance for family and friends. Current MacPhail students do not need to audition. We will consult your instructor for your playing level.
