FULL - Technique I - Combo - Wednesday 5:00pm (Spring) - CHAW
Semester-long technique classes are designed to give beginning dancers an opportunity to learn foundational skills in ballet, tap and jazz dance. All students perform in demonstrations or recitals held in conjunction with CHAW-wide performance festivals at the end of each session. Curtain Up! Musical Theatre (3 weeks) - St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School
For rising 1st-8th grade students This amazing program is for all students interested in musical theatre. It is an excellent opportunity to learn about all aspects of a production and to discover and develop theatrical and musical talents. The students in this camp learn music and dance and most importantly, how to work together and support one another to deliver a wonderful performance. The mission of this camp is to boost confidence and to build friendships through cooperative effort and fun. This summer we will go Under the Sea with The Little Mermaid. All ages will enjoy participating in this action-packed show! Fencing Camp: Foil, Sabre And Epee - McLean Community Center
No previous training needed. Often called ?the physical game of chess? and ?the noble sport?, fencing requires mental strength and quickness, and improves coordination, balance, speed and grace. Campers use the Foil (a light training sword) and are introduced to Sabre (the modern equivalent of the cavalry sword) and Epee (the modern equivalent of the dueling sword). Safety tipped swords, protective jackets, masks, and gloves make fencing one of the safest sports. Fencing camp taught by the Virginia Academy of Fencing Equipment rental fee: $49, make check payable to VAF.
