MYNA (High School Boys & Girls) - MCM Youth
The best amongst you is the one who learns Quran and teaches it. Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him. MYGB will continue to offer its Quran program with the hope that this program will help our youth bond with the Quran through this experience Inshallah. By the end of each session of MYGB Quran program participants will have developed: *- greater appreciation of the words of Allah; *- better ability to read and recite the Quran; *- better understanding of some of the basic concepts addressed by the verses repeated in the short chapters. The program will also have a memorization component based on the youths abilities and readiness for memorization. All teachers and volunteers have tremendous experience working with youth in this particular field. Groups will be divided by age and then by competency level. MARTY WILSON YOUTH BASKETBALL CAMP at Pepperdine University is geared towards all experience levels and is equally great for youngsters that are new to the game and those that have played most of their lives. July 18-21: Young Archaeologists! (Ages 5-6) - Mountain Kids!
Santa Fe is home to a rich, diverse and ancient history of many cultures. This week we will put on our detective hats to sleuth out some of our local lore combined with outdoor exploration. We will learn about archeology and what a real archeologist does. Well travel to Bandelier and Pecos National Monument to learn about ancestral pueblo people, the Santa Fe Trail and civil war.
