Jazz Up Your Piano (49237P) - Cary Academy
Ever notice that performers like Billy Joel and bands like Coldplay can use the piano to get 16,000 people up on their feet dancing? Join us and jazz up YOUR piano playing! You will learn just a few cool chords and scales in order to create melodies and improvisations, and will use a lead sheet as a means to play almost anything right from the first time you see it. Bring your iPhones or iPads (if you have them) for recording. Well have a rockin performance on the last day with some guest pro musicians that will give you a chance to show off your new found chops! Learn how to make awesome graphics, use digital art programs, and manipulate images! This course develops proficiency in operating the Mac as applied to learning the basic design tools of Adobe Creative Suites main programs: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Students will learn how to use these software tools to digitally draw, paint, and collage unique works of computer art and design.
