THE DEREK LEADER SOCCER ID CAMP IS DESIGNED TO EXPOSE PLAYERS TO COLLEGIATE TRAINING SESSIONS AT THE DIVISION I LEVEL. PLAYERS WILL BE PUT THROUGH THE SAME TRAINING SESSIONS THAT THE GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY WOMENS SOCCER TEAM EXPERIENCES THROUGHOUT THEIR SEASON. TRAININGS WILL BE CONDUCTED BY COLLEGIATE COACHES, WHO WILL CHALLENGE THE PLAYERS TECHNICALLY AND TACTICALLY. PLAYERS WILL PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING SESSIONS, SMALL SIDEDS GAMES AS WELL AS FULL SIDED GAMES. DEREK LEADER YOUTH SOCCER CAMP THE GEORGIA STATE UNIVERSITY WOMENS SOCCER STAFF WILL BE COMING TO ROSWELL, GEORGIA TO HOST TWO-WEEK LONG SOCCER CAMPS. THE DEREK LEADER YOUTH CAMP OFFERS A FULL DAY OF PLAYING WITH SKILL TRAINING, TECHNIQUE TRAINING WITH SMALL AND BIG SIDED GAMES FOR CAMPERS! THE CAMPS ARE DESIGNED TO FAMILIARIZE THE CAMPERS WITH THE PROPER TECHNIQUE OF DRIBBLING, PASSING AND SHOOTING, AND TO DEVELOP KNOWLEDGE OF THE GAME. Hip Hop: Breaking the Rules 101 - The Evergreen School
What is it like to break the rules...on purpose?! Hip hop has a reputation for rule breaking in dance throughout its history. After all, hip hop was originally used as a peaceful way of creating change in a violent time through inter-city territory wars. In this class, students will learn about the history of hip hop, and how early hip hop created a movement in society towards positive change as we create our own dance of positive change! Materials Science - Ensworth High School
How does stuff break? To answer this question, students investigate how stuff is made and in doing so, will break stuff! Destructive and nondestructive tests will be conducted to investigate catastrophic failures such as bridge collapse, airplane structural failure, containers that leak, pipes that burst, and electrical failures. Advances in materials are at the core of significant technological advances, and we are in a materials revolution today! Students experience a hands-on introduction to materials science, engineering, and technology, joining researchers who push boundaries further than ever before, using biology, chemistry and physics to expand our technological frontiers. Lego NXT Mindstorm Robotics - The Chapel School
This exciting class teaches students how to build and program LEGO Mindstroms NXT Robots. Students will use their new skills to meet such challenges as maneuvering an obstacle course, pushing water bottles out of a ring and beating their opponents at the Sumo robots competition.
