Grand Camp (Intergenerational) - Shepherds Spring Outdoor Ministry Center
This Is one of our Intergenerational camps with wonderful opportunities to explore together! Younger campers feel safer with their familiar adults around. Older campers get to relive the joys of discovery and pass along their faith traditions. This camp lets us spend some quality time with the grand-kids and make memories that will last a lifetime. Make connections through a variety of activities such as swimming, games, campfires, and Bible studies. Enjoy a two night stay in the lodge and an opportunity to share your stories. ETC Beginnings Session 5 - Fairlington Community Center
Theme: Rainforest Rangers ETC Beginnings camp offers an enriching theatre experience for your preschooler to learn basic acting skills, as well as how to use their bodies, voices and imaginations to create exciting characters. The day is filled with circle time, improv games, arts and crafts, outdoor time and rehearsal for our big show at the end of the week! Note: Preschoolers must be potty trained. Creative Adventures at Savannah Country Day - SCDS
Creative Adventures is an introduction to performing arts while learning to play creatively. We will utilize theatre exercises and "games" that assist in developing verbal and fine motor skills. We will pantomime, sing, and dance to music. Simple costume pieces and instruments are utilized. We also focus on the art of storytelling and how we can use our minds, voices, bodies and the space around us. We will create basic props, puppets and masks related to the stories to assist in the retelling and acting out a story. Card stock, paper bags, and art supplies are some of the materials used to create these items since the focus is on retelling and acting out the story not making an art project. End of Session Performance: On our last class day for this session, Friday, we will have a demonstration of the activities your child has participated in this week. It will be during the last 30 minutes of camp (11:30). Pictures and videos are allowed. Art Potpourri Ages 12-15 - Goleta Presbyterian Church
No class on the 4th of July! Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture! No theme, just great fun creating wonderful pieces of artwork while using a mixture of artist quality materials including clay, watercolor, paint, soft pastels, oil pastels, Art Stiks, illustration markers, Aqua Stiks, and more! Try your hand at Zentangle patterns, printmaking and collage to create mixed media and 3D designs. As students work in these different media components, they will culminate in self-discovery and creation of original art projects with a distinctive flair! Bring lunch, snack and water.
