Exploring Science, Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Through the Art of Glass Blowing and Flameworking Join Ignite Glass Studios for an end of Summer experience like no other! Teens ages 13-17 will work with Ignites’ experienced instructors to learn the arts of Glass Blowing, Solid Sculpting, and Flameworking. No prior glass experience necessary. Each student will create at least 3 finished glass projects, blown and/or solid during the session. $350 per person
Downriver Actors Guild Teen Theatre Boot Camp - Wyandotte, MI
Teen Theatre Boot Camp Be in a one act musical where YOU have input to the character development, blocking, costume design and sets as you rehearse and create the production. Be trained by local directors in drama, dance, and voice. Everyone gets a part in the show. An exercise in creativity all around. This is a great environment to push yourself as an actor, try something new, and see how it works out. Together with your cast, create the set pieces, props, and costume pieces. Our Directors always see a difference in the abilities of performers who have participated in a Theater Immersion Camp. What is a Theater Immersion Camp? A show in a week! Period 4 - Woodworking - NBJH Room 116
Incoming 7th and 8th Graders will learn the basic usage and safety of some hand tools, power tools and machinery (routers, drill press, scroll saw, spindle sander, disc sander, palm sander, cordless drill, lathe). All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a list based on their experience. The list will be sent home in the FIRST week of the course. Examples include a cutting board, wood bowl, routed sign, garden tray, gumball machine, and bag toss game. Girls Volleyball Evening Camp #1 - Hollinger Fieldhouse
WCU Volleyball Camps offer instruction at the beginner and advanced levels. Beginners will focus on knowledge of the game, competitive fun, and fundamental ball control. Advanced campers will cover the proper technique for basic skills, offensive playsets, defensive formations, strategy, teamwork and attitude, and setting personal and team goals. Campers will be placed on teams, depending on skill level, with specialized coaching on each level. Each camper should bring comfortable volleyball or cross train-ing sneakers, extra shirt and socks, and a container of water. WCU and its camp staff are not responsible for lost or missing items. Our middle school program focuses on the essentials of rowing in the stable training barge and then both sculling (rowing with two oars each) and sweep rowing (rowing with one oar each). The athletes row in the training barge, coxed quads, eight-person boats, and they learn valuable skills such as teamwork, fitness conditioning, and safety on the water. The middle school program is coached by high-level coaches who make learning to row easy and fun. 5109264100.0
