Things are coming into place fast for Bethel's Student ministry, Beta Sigma, to have our very own summer camp, designed specificaly by and for Bethel students and their friends. Many exciting details are still falling into place, but some very important ones are already set: - Our worship band for the whole week is The Hardcastles, our camp worship band for the last two years at Camp Eagle. - Our speaker is former hockey player, youth evangelist and long time youth pastor, Shawn Roberts, who has spoken to thousands upon thousand of students and seen thousands come to know Christ. - Activities we know we'll have: river tubing, swimming, gaga ball, ulimate, football, hiking, square dancing, bow and arrow tag, airsoft, bonfires, small group talks, team challenges, camp challenges... - Best of all, we'll be serivng the community and the camp throughout the week doing service project. - So many more things to come, shirts, journals, themed meals and more...we'll keep you updated as things move. Autobahn Soccer Spring Break Camp - Marine Park Sports Facilities
This soccer camp offers soccer games, skills demonstrations, and small-sided competition in a safe and nurturing environment. Whether your child is a beginner or advanced player, they will enhance their playing skills while getting a better understanding of the game participating in shooting, passing, and dribbling skills. Camps are directed by LA GALAXY/Autobahn coach Raul Palomares. Please bring soccer/running shoes, lunch, water, snack and sunscreen. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PRIORITY ONLINE REGISTRATION (for Santa Monica Residents only) runs February 3 (6 am) through February 9. This two-day workshop will help you express (and discover) what is meaningful to you through writing: What true experiences motivate your work, and how can you make them truthful in fiction? Where does real life end and fiction begin? Award-winning writer and Colorado Mesa University instructor Rhonda Claridge will work with students on creating composite characters, developing fiction out of what they know, and elucidating the essence of their narratives.
