Is your teen always snapping away? Stealing your camera? Obsessed with capturing their surroundings? Foster their creative skills at our TEEN PHOTO CAMP this summer in our Crabapple studio! Students will need a digital camera and a *genuine* desire to learn more about photography. We will offer separate sessions for middle & high schoolers in June and July. We’ll have instruction, shooting practice and fun learning activities each day in an artistic, small group environment. Each student will need to bring their digital camera, a snack, water bottle & lunch each day. All other materials will be provided, including class notes & supplies. The camp will cover the following topics : - Photographer’s Tool Kit - Essentials of Exposure (Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO) - Camera Settings - Composition - Photography & Social Media - Lighting, Landscapes & People - Careers in Photography At the end of camp, we will have an open house showcasing our student's best work in the studio. Spring MONDAY Creative Coding: Advanced & Beginner Winter - Villa Academy
Creative Coding teaches your child the joy of computer programming by helping them write their own Custom computer games and animations! Beginner students will participate in the Creative Coding core curriculum, learning the fundamental elements of coding using MITs Scratch to create their very own computer game! Advanced coders (students with previous Scratch experience) will enjoy the Advanced Curriculum, where each week contains a unique mix of coding challenges techniques, and hacks. Youll be stepping into the boots of the wartime poster artists behind the iconic Uncle Sam I Want YOU and Rosie the Riveter designs, combat artists that recorded the war firsthand and abstract artists that developed eye-manipulating military camouflage. Comedy: Abbott & Costello reigned as the 1940s "Kings Of Comedy," producing box office hits including "Buck Privates," "Hold That Ghost, and their 1948 monster masterpiece "Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein." Their patter routine "Whos on First?" is one of the best-known comedy routines of all time.
