Senior Camp 2016 - Randleman, NC
A few days to BE A KID AGAIN! Join us while we have a great week of fun and fellowship. WoodmenLife members and their spouses, ages 55 and up. Camp fee is ONLY $35 Trust me, these aren't "just old folks", we have a blast and do almost all the same activities the youth campers do! New for 2016 we have added a day trip to Millstone Creek Orchards in Ramseur, Thursday October 6th. Bus fair is sponsored by the Bessemer City Chapter 1286, and tickets are covered in your registration fee. Don’t forget to bring YOUR secret award winning dessert for our Home Cookin’ Cook Off. The winner will receive a prize from WoodmenLife. Bring your silent auction items, as we will be holding a benefit for the camp. Also we will participate in another food drive for our National Community Focus, FIGHT HUNGER! Items will be donated to a local shelter. Things you will need to bring: Bedding items: sheets and blankets. Personal hygiene items: soap, shampoo, bug spray and sun block are recommended. 2016 Dorman Youth Football Camp - Roebuck, SC
The Dorman summer football camp is a non-contact camp designed to teach the fundamentals of the game of football to rising 2nd - 8th graders. The entire Dorman varsity football coaching staff, as well as all of our middle school coaches, will be instructing players in every facet of the game, including many of the same drills done by the Varsity Cavaliers. • Camp begins Monday, June 6th at 8:00am. Registration will begin at 7:30 each morning. Camp runs 8:00am-12:00pm daily • Camp dates are June 6th through June 9th • PRE-REGISTERED CAMPERS RECEIVE A $10 DISCOUNT Pre-registration cost is $80.00 (Before May 20, 2016) After May 20, Registration is $90.00 (including on day of camp) Camp registration includes: instruction, t-shirt, daily food items including breakfast and lunch, camp photo, certificate, bag, etc. • Rising 6th, 7th & 8th graders will choose one offensive and one defensive position to work throughout the week. With school just around the corner, a lot of families take this time to go on trips or to just be together. WE RESPECT AND APPRECIATE FAMILY TIME!!! We seek to integrate a biblical worldview in all our time we spend together. We understand this is a great opportunity not only to ell the campers about Gods Word, but also to show them how it is related to everyday life. Paul said it well when he wrote, "For me to live is Christ." That is what we model here for our campers. Social Emphasis: We also understand the importance of your child meeting and learning to work together with other children and adults. We will help them learn positive ways to make friends and guide them in being friends to others. Teamwork will also be taught through various games and activities. Physical Emphasis: No couch potatoes here! We dont want our campers to just hang out and waste their day so we work at keeping them going. Whether its a day trip to Six Flags, making human ice cream sundaes, a rousing game of kickball, or a walk to the local park, there is never a dull moment at Cornerstone!
