SESSION 2 JUNE 27-29 Catch a Wave – An introduction to musical theater Monday – Wednesday AM Session: 9am -11:30am For kids who are 4 or 5 years old during camp Fee: Early Bird - $50, General - $55 ($60 on or after May 15) Campers will learn to explore their creativity through music, movement, acting games, arts and crafts. This camp gives kids a great introduction to theater arts in a nurturing and warm atmosphere using beach-themed scene and music. Ceramics 5 - Funky and Functional - Artists Exchange
Not everything functional has to be boring, right? A plate is a plate and a bowl is a bowl but in this week of camp, campers will learn to make functional things extraordinary! Roll, flatten, pinch, cut, and bend. Use traditional hand building techniques to make pottery that is funky functional and fantastic. Ceramics camps allow children to immerse themselves in clay studio studies ranging from basic hand building, wheel throwing, and sculpting. Campers will learn a variety of skills designed to fit the camp they are in. Ceramic focus campers will learn the technical aspects of recycling, slab work, build a simple kiln from a metal trash can and firing pottery in it. All under the guidance of a professional potter and the fire department. Clay adventures offers a beginners taste of experimenting with clay. Sculpting camps have a slight focus on bringing 2-D drawings and images of characters into 3-D form. 401-490-9475

Over this 8 week session, girls will combine multiple skills, tools, scales, and media to complete 4 small design/build projects. We will cut wood, pick locks, fuse metal or etch with lasers, and more.
