This camp is for the younger LEGO fan that is just getting into LEGO. JRS will learn basic building techniques, play building oriented games, and create from their own imagination. Projects like building racecars, animals, mosaics are few of the things the children will work on. Action LEGOs puts fun in motion as students learn how to use gears, motors, potential energy and balance to create numerous contraptions. Through the excitement of building, our summer camp students understand how gears translate motion and how different types of energy can propel vehicles and machines. After each building project, summer camp kids customize, share, and enjoy playing with their creations. Kids have many opportunities free building, playing Lego games creating their own amazing projects. We are focused on active learning because the development of the brain is so important in the early years and research proves that children learn by doing. We have a unique ability to excite and motivate kids to grasp programming and engineering concepts, yet we also place equal emphasis on celebrating STEM education and creativity. UH Campus Rec Kid's Triathlon - Houston, TX
Hey guys. We are in need of volunteers to help out at the Kid's Triathlon the university is hosting. This is a fun all day event on April 19th with several volunteer shifts to help fit your schedule! If you'd like to help make this a great experience for the young ones, please comment/post on this event telling us when you can volunteer. The shifts are: - 4:45am - 9am (this will entail mostly set up and concessions) - 9am – 1pm (concessions and help with trash pick-up during event) - 1pm – 4pm (concessions and help with trash pick-up during event) - 4pm – 7pm (concessions, tear down and help with trash pick-up during event) The more volunteers we get to help out with the event the better it helps support the club. Pull that car cover off, put the battery back in and drive your summer ride out for one day of winter fun! They make car washes, even in winter...so put on your big boy/girl pants and drive out...snow or shine! All show vehicles welcome. FREE Chili. Awards at 4pm. Free admission. Trophies awarded for car, truck, motorcycle AND bicycle participation. $5 entry fee per car/truck, $3 per motorcycle and $1 per bicycle if you would like to participate in the drawings and awards. 100% of all entry collection will go to the Make a Wish Foundation. You can display for FREE, but you will not be in for awards or raffle prize drawings without a donation to our Charity. Freddy has a great bar, with an really nice deck out back. Sit by the fire, hang out under the tent outside or just hang out inside the nice warm Locker Room! Food available on site.
Kid's Circus Camp June 2016 - Beloit, WI
Pure Gravity Fitness's Annual Kid's Circus Camp!! For kids ages 6-12. We'll be exploring movement and the many aspects of circus performance. This will include learning tricks on aerial apparatuses, tumbling, balance, hula hoop and juggling, costuming and circus history. This camp is designed for kids to discover movement, foster creativity, and most importantly have FUN!! It is a three-day camp running the last week in June, Monday Wednesday and Friday from 9am to Noon. Cost is $85 for all three days and includes all activities and a snack! We will also be hosting a camp the second week of August!!
Teen Girl Retreat - Higden, AR
The Teen Girl Retreat, hosted by Wises Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Pineville, Arkansas, will be March 11th-12th at Budd Creek Baptist Camp. Registration will be on the 11th 5:30-7:00. PRE-REGISTRATION will need to be done by February 22nd. This will guarantee a T shirt for those registering & will give us a head count for food & dorms. Whats Under the Microscope? - The Evergreen School
A week of science! The children will be using microscopes with simple slides of interesting items. Well examine leaves, food items, clothing items, and even hair. This class is to introduce children to all of the possibilities and questions and guesses that can happen under a microscope! 206-957-1533

Each day, campers will learn about an artist and complete an art project. Children will be introduced to basic art vocabulary, exposed to a wide variety of mediums and encouraged to acquire new skills through their art projects. This camp will focus on all girls, who are looking to take soccer to the next level. There will be multiple training sessions during the day with high level elite coaches.
