Camp Summer Days - Week 5 - Wigwam Creek Middle School
This program is for children ages 6 to 12 and runs Mon through Fri from 8am to 5pm. Camp locations: Wigwam Creek Middle School & LP Rec. Center. This camp includes arts/crafts, sports, games, daily swimming & movies. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack will be provided. Discounts are available for families enrolling multiple children. The first week of camp which you register for, the FULL camp payment is due at the time of registration. All other weeks which you register, a $20.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a space in that week of camp. Beginning Writing Camp 6th year for this popular & well respected camp ! Turn your rough draft into a brilliant masterpiece in this enriching writing camp. Using the Writers workshop research-based curriculum, campers learn and then refine their writing skills. Writers create their own publishing company, then plan, write, illustrate and produce an amazing picture book. Each writer has an individual writing conference, that helps them gain insight and confidence into their self-expression. Discussions may include qualities of good writing, overcoming writers block, writing motivation, craft of writing, anti-bias and multicultural themes and much more. Children are exposed to a wide range of literature, are taught to use author studies, and gain other strategies to help their work shine. An art exploration component may include graphic design; value study; use of color, drawing and illustration; and experimenting with collage, watercolor, colored pencil and more. Week 8 Young Inventors - Friends School Mullica Hill
This camp will ask our campers to dream big as we spend the week drawing up our creations for another FSMH Summer Camp Worlds Fair! At the weeks end, campers will get some more hands on creative experience with a trip to Wheaton Arts. While morning activities are geared toward the weeks theme, all weekly FSMH camps include a trip to the pool Monday-Thursday for a swim lesson and play time. The Junior High School/High School camp is designed for the boy or girl volleyball player, ages 12-18, who is preparing for the upcoming season. The camp offers the opportunity to explore new techniques for learning the fundamental volleyball skills. The mornings and afternoons will emphasize individual and team skills and how to incorporate them into overall team play. The evenings will be primarily six-on-six team play through various games and tournaments. With great instruction and good competition, the camper should depart camp with a newfound confidence in his or her game.
