We realize this is a busy time of year. Let us take your kids for an afternoon so you can do your shopping, wrapping or anything that needs to get done without little eyes snooping or peeking in on you. Summer Youth Art Camp: Grade 5 Summer art camp is the perfect retreat for the young artist. A faculty of professional artists and art educators provide hands-on activities that expose students to a variety of artistic styles and art processes. Campers rotate by age group to different studio classes for drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media. Daily enrichment activities may include entertainment, movement/dance, presentations and games that explore different cultures and forms of art. Parents are asked to provide a daily lunch, snacks and beverage for their children. A reception and art exhibition is held on the last Friday of camp. Seattle Preps girls lacrosse camp will be a great opportunity for 6-9th grade players of all abilities to build strong fundamental skills, learn strategy, gain confidence on the field and have fun. The camp will immerse each player into a focused and fast paced environment to maximize improvement. Skills that will be emphasized include, passing and catching, shooting, ground balls, draws, offensive and defensive strategy, midfield transition and goalie play. The camp will be hosted by Prep Varsity Coach and former collegiate player, Lyndsey Gillis. Lyndsey teaches in Preps Arts department during the academic year, while also directing the womens Seattle Starz Club Lacrosse Program year-round. The Bay Areas finest musical theatre professionals teach kids how to sing, act and dance! This adventurous program explores theatre through collective creation, story development and improvisation. Students also learn about various aspects of technical theatre, such as set construction, painting, costumes and make-up.
