LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Foothills Day Camp - Session 3 - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Celebrating 57 years of creating lifelong friends, long lasting memories, and a deep respect and love for nature, Foothills Day Camp is back for another incredible summer in the great outdoors. Each session includes pre and post camp, which means campers can be dropped off anytime between 7:30am-8:45am, and picked up anytime between 4-6pm (drop-off and pickup location is at the Girl Scout House). Additionally, campers will spend the second Thursday of each session sleeping under a blanket of stars at Camp Towle for the ultimate campout experience. Night activities include a delicious BBQ, animated storytelling around the campfire, a thrilling night hike, and more. Campers and their parents/guardians are invited to the first annual "Back to Camp" night on Thursday, June 5th, from 6-7:30pm at Mitchell Park Community Center. 6:00pm Dropoff 9:30pm pickup Parents night out/kids night in: Friday dinner and a movie at our new, beautiful, kid friendly, home office. We focus on families whose children are currently on treatment; parents who need a night out, with safe, reliable, free babysitting! BASE Camp Kids ages 5-15; patients, and their siblings are included, and welcome to attend! From 6-9:30 we offer up crafts, games, dress-up, snacks, dinner & movies for the children who are dropped off so their parents can have a date night! The BASE CAMP KIDS are entertained by volunteers who bring kid friendly food, popcorn & movie candy BASE CAMP has a digital library of movies; G, PG, PG 13… depending on the age group of the children we will watch movies on our 70 inch big screen TV in our Hudson's Furniture/Ikea-Orlando family room! Our volunteer teams also bring "Lots of energy", games, crafts, and a respite for parents who just need a little time away from their children! May 31-June 3: Wonders of Water (Ages 9-12) - Mountain Kids!
Water is an important resource for life and fun on a hot summer day! We will go on adventures to find the FUN in water, and will learn a lot in the process. We will go into the Santa Fe watershed to learn first hand where our water comes from and where it goes. We will hunt for aquatic macro-invertebrates (a new, big word!). We will talk about how and why to conserve water, and get some first hand experience with the power of water at Bandelier National Monument. 505-699-6230
Beginning Typing/Keyboarding Skills - The Evergreen School
Typing is an invaluable skill that takes time and practice to master. This class is for children with little or no experience. We will discuss the history of typing, why it is important, learn about proper ergonomics, and the home row keys. Students will be exposed to many different typing programs and games. A list of resources will go home on the last day. 206-957-1533
1-Day Freeride Drop-In - Infront of flag poles in Main Plaza
This Registration is only valid for those who have been invited and are pre-coordinated by a Freeride Coach. Snowboard drop-ins are available Saturdays only. 360-663-3036

There is more to learn from basketball than just basketball itself. With an encouraging and supportive atmosphere, players will be introduced to basic skills, concepts and fundamentals through fun and effective drills and games. This is a great opportunity for young male players to work closely with some of the high school varsity players and coaches. Players should bring a lunch, snacks and water bottle.
