Brian Baum, current head coach at Canyon Crest Academy, offers an unique basketball camp that will focus on the fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, ball handling and defense. Tennis 3 - Brigham Young University
Join BYU mens tennis head coach Brad Pearce for a week of incredible tennis! Learn strategies, tactics and techniques through drills, on-court instruction and singles and doubles play. Players will receive instruction on the fundamentals of all major strokes and will practice these strokes through feeding, live-ball drilling and competitive match-play. Students will hone their skills as they have an opportunity to advance through each of five stations that are set up to practice every aspect of their game. They will also have an opportunity to improve their fitness and participate in competitive off-court games that focus on enhancing their flexibility through stretching, agility and endurance. In addition, they will play competitive matches in both singles and doubles. This is excellent preparation for anyone interested in participating in high school tennis or preparing to compete in USTA leagues and/or tournaments. On Friday of each week, all participants will play in an individual singles tournament against players that are at their level. Trophies are awarded for the winners and runner-ups, but all will play multiple matches. The camp concludes after the tournament on Friday with an awards ceremony. You may add this late pick-up option to your campers Day Camp registration for an additional $15. This is only available Monday-Wednesday since Thursday is our overnight, and Friday has our parent program at 1:00. F-2 Simple Chemistry Labs and Activities to Teach Difficult and Important Concepts - Aurora
This will be a hands-on session where participants will perform four chemistry activities/experiments (two of the experiments will be a variation on one theme). The topics will include bonding, equilibrium, and stoichiometry. Teachers will be provided with copies of the activities to take back to their classes. In the spirit of learning together, we ask participants to bring their favorite activity/lab to share with the group (these labs will not be performed, just shared.
