Maker Station-Integrated Science & Art - Amador Elementary School
MAKERS STATION Come build with us this summer! Your child will be working with a variety of materials in a STEAM maker station. Students will create their own science or art projects. They will also deconstruct items and study reverse engineering to examine how things work. Our station includes beginning snap circuits, Brackitz bionic blocks, and an introduction to coding when we build mazes for our very own Bee-Bot robot. As an added bonus in the station, we also have GoldieBlox kits to encourage more girls to get excited about building. The Maker Station encourages creativity, exploration, and innovation. Session I Volleyball - Cornerstone University
Grades 5-12 (Overnight/Commuter Camp) Check-in will be from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on Monday morning in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Parents are welcome to attend the training sessions and observe. A medical release form has been enclosed and the registration process will move along much more quickly if this form is filled out (or mailed in) prior to checking in. We will begin camp at 9:00 AM throughout the week. Free time will be from 3:00 to 4:45. Campers may go back to their dorm to relax, play pool, ping-pong or stay in the gym and watch the camp counselors play volleyball. Dinner is from 4:45 to 5:30 with games from 6:00 to 8:00. If you are a commuting camper attending an overnight camp week, the cost of your dinner meal is not included in the camp tuition you paid. Therefore, you may purchase a dinner meal plan for the week at the time of registration. If you prefer, you may also pack a dinner meal for each day or be picked up by your parents to go home/out for dinner. Art Exploration FULL DAY Camp - Touchstone Elementary
Draw, paint and sculpt with clay in this popular camp week. Even if you took this last year, its new every summer! Explore skills in drawing, painting, and some hands-on clay! Well fill the week with a kaleidoscope of color and fun projects! Sample different art supplies and make a masterpiece with guided instruction. Each day has a different theme such as nature, animals, great artists, cultural projects, Art Pods (free-choice time for self-directed projects like mandalas, collage and printmaking), and a mini art show on Friday!
